Cypress College Flight Training is so excited to announce our new, state-of-the-art Flight Simulator Lab! We now have the most advanced flight simulation center of all community colleges! Our new lab offers NINE, fully equip simulators for students to practice a variety of maneuvers, flight skills, radio usage, and emergency procedures. Our simulators can be adjusted for students that are flying at levels from beginner to advanced; from private pilot skill level, to instrument, and even instructor! They feature settings and simulations from Cessna 172, Beechcraft Baron, King Air, Boeing 737, and many others being added. We also feature two full-immersion, Alpha Electro VR Simulators, to prepare students for the future of electric aircraft!
What does this mean for students?
We use state-of-the-art flight simulators combined with our unique, leading edge curriculum to train our students. Our flight training devices lower the cost of becoming a licensed pilot, improve safety, prepare students for FAA examinations, and provide high quality training for student pilots. Our program boasts innovative flight-training that can reduce the cost of becoming a pilot by upwards of $6,000. Our lab continues to expand on the capabilities of flight simulation and is utilizing VR technology to better train YOU. Our simulators allow students to learn basic flight skills, aircraft performance, perform a variety of flight maneuvers, learn situational awareness, reinforce lessons learned in the air and in class, along with many other skills and training needed to become a pilot.
The Best Part!...
All of this training is FREE to students enrolled in our flight training courses. Students can utilize our simulators to reinforce material learned in their ground school lessons and can use them to practice for actual flight training. For enrolled students, the simulator lab is open daily, and available to practice their skills in an effective, safe, and comfortable environment.
