Our Simulators

Cypress College Flight Training uses state-of-the-art flight simulators combined with our unique leading edge curriculum to train our students. Our flight training devices lower the cost of becoming a licensed pilot, improve safety, prepare students for FAA examinations, and provide high quality training for student pilots. Cypress College has innovative flight-training that can reduce the cost of becoming a pilot by nearly $6,000. Our simulation lab has over eight realistic flight simulators for students to train at all skill levels; from private pilot, to instrument, commercial, and more. Our lab continues to expand on the capabilities of flight simulation and has added full-immersion simulation for electric aircraft, and is utilizing Virtual Reality technology in our training. Our simulators allow students to learn basic flight skills, aircraft performance, perform a variety of flight maneuvers, learn situational awareness, along with many other skills and training needed to become a pilot. All of this training is free to students enrolled in our flight training courses. Students can utilize our simulators to reinforce material learned in their ground school lessons and can use them to practice for actual flight training. For enrolled students, the simulator lab is open and available to practice their skills in an effective, safe, and comfortable environment.
