Pilot in Light Aircraft

Flight Training

To become a pilot students need two types of schooling. One is ground school, which can be accomplished at Cypress College with our certificates (Private Pilot, then Instrument Pilot, next Commercial Pilot and ending with Advanced Pilot for a total of 31-35 units) or for a greater edge we offer an Associate in Science Degree: Commercial Pilot ( Advanced Certificate plus General Education). The certificates on average are earned in about 1 to 3 semesters, or the degree in about 4 to 5 semesters total. Following that, students will also need to take flight lessons. Cypress College has the resources, instructors and partnerships to help students actually get flying, at a lower cost than most flight schools offer.
